Today was a great day!

The temps down there buy you guys ought to be just about right for some dirt biking.
I'd like to offer a shout out to RedRockRider for sharing his awesome tracks. As I planned a long trip in September, I stumbled upon this thread which allowed me to find areas to explore that I never would have known about from simply looking at maps. Even though I didn't explore much around St. George (it was HOT for this north-westerner), riding North Fork Rd. to Navajo Lake and enjoying the vistas from Brian Head were wonderful experiences.
I knew if I searched ADV I'd find something on St. George area, this is more than awesome! My bro and SIL are moving in Jan to halfway between St. G and Hurricane, looks like I may need to visit them often and buy a bike to leave out there.
NAh, don't go buying a bike to leave there. Better you just move there as well and don't miss all the good riding.
That's right where I live....! They will likely be my neighbors! It is beautiful here right now...December 1st and snow on Pine Valley mtns
Well well well, look who I found. Well actually he found me. I was doing a little work on my Borrego place, so we worked it out, and RRR payed me a visit. It's hard to keep this guy in one place for very long, I did manage to simmer him down for a few hours, hang out at my place, and then go grab some lunch.
I know he's out exploring the southwest a bit on this trip, visiting some fantastic places, and surely taking lot's of pics! Hopefully he'll take a little time and give us all an update about this latest trip.
Always great seeing ya RRR, thank you for tracking me down and spending a little time together. Continued safe travels out there!!
Off for that next unexplored road on his new Versys 650, a beautiful bike indeed. BTW, yes he wears riding boots, they were back at the hotel.
Nice work Sam...finding RRR! He has been underground for far too long! Glad to see you guys got together....now you just need to come to STG so we can wrangle him into doing an enduro ride!
Yes a STG snowballs ride, and I don't mean the ones you make with snow.
I double dog dare ya!
I hope RRR forgives me for hijacking the thread here a bit but wanted to keep it going. For years I have seen this old pioneer era home out in the middle of nowhere but it is surrounded by a river and a rugged mountain so I could never figure out how to find it. I finally figured it out and took a ride out on my Kawi. It was 57 degrees and blue sky yesterday so a great day to ride. The building is from the late 1800's and not sure if it was a home or school. Well built and very cool. Enjoy!
Down some dirt roads with lots of scenery
Finally getting to it...
Gonna need some work before I can move in...
As usual a great day to ride....and the Little Kawi is awesome!
Need to get a metal detector out there and find the stash of gold that someone forgot about long ago.
I hate to see this thread whither out so here's a few pictures from a ride yesterday...hard to beleive it is February 9th and it is this beautiful! We've had some rain the last week or so, so everything is pretty colorful. Hoping I can get RRR away from his other duties and get him on a ride soon!!
A few last ones
Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoyed
