I made a 187 mile loop. I started at Panamint springs and rode to Furnace creek and fuelled up. Then took the west side road "wash board is a better term" hehe
down to warm springs road and went west. The only way you can go from the junction of west side road and warm springs road. Warm spring camp is about 12 miles or so going west on warm springs road. Warm springs camp is where all the miners lived, complete with a swimming pool that was fed by the warm spring. Lots of big trees and shade and housing. many cool places to set up a tent and camp. It was 103 degrees but up in the trees and shade it was in the low 80,s. The spring is still running strong. NOTE TO ANYONE GOING THERE....do not try to divert the spring water back into the pool. If you do so it is likely the park service will come and bulldoze the place to the ground.
I then continued on to Butte valley road, Then Coyote Canyon road with a bunch of side roads to explore, Then onto Goler wash road, Then onto Wingate road to Ballarat and back to Panamint. It was a long day :knary Were you camped at Panamint? I was in tent site 32. White Dodge Ram 4x4 and a Kwik Kamp trailer and an xt250.

Are you telling me that the rangers didn't object to someone taking a Razor into the National Park??

Toroweap is part of a National Monument and all vehicles need a plate. So you can’t ride a stickered bike or non plated Razor. At least a dozen coming out as we went in.

We did not stay in Panamint springs.
We did have lunch there on tbe 8th tho. We hiked to Darwin falls then headed to Ballarat and stripped butte valley.
Was the 1st time I had been back to that area in 30 years. WAY overdue!

Burro driver, what route did you take from Mesquite to Toroweap? The map shows a veritable spider web or route choices.

Road 242 to the locals is called Limekiln road. Take Mesquite Boulevard to Riverside road, ( which is near the Casablanca Casino part of city). Head towards Bunkerville, and cross the bridge over the Virgin river. Immediately after the bridge turn left. Follow pavement for approx 1/2 mile and turn right onto gravel road which is Limekiln Rd., stay on the main road and go approx 15 ish miles and come to major 4 way intersection. There’s a sign map there for further directions. Good luck

If I wasn’t already back in Canada for the summer , I would have went with you. Maybe next fall?? Have a safe ride. There’s a few dirt bike riders at Polaris World that may tag along if you went on a weekend.
Also, Bar 10 Ranch should be open now if you need fuel or a meal and room over there. Not cheap but there if you need it

Yeah, we can't let this die....
I was supposed to make over to St. George in late April but when at death valley after I was there about a week and a half a horrendous wind storm came up and I mean really strong winds. I was out doing Goler wash and Mengel pass and when I got back the wind had blown down my kwik kamp trailer, as in flattened it..... Bent all the joints of the up rights and made it un-useable. It took me over two hrs to get it in good enough shape just to fold up.
Slept in the front seat of the truck that night and in morning loaded up the bike and the rest of my shit and headed home for some serious repair work. I had to repair so it would be ready for my summer trip behind my Goldwing.
It's all back together now and stronger then when new and with some added guy lines. When in DV I like to do a dirt bike ride one day and 4x4 ride the next day. Blew the hell out of my shocks in the 4x4 the second year in a row now. Some really hard rocky climbs and bad wash boar roads down there.
    Fun, Fun, Fun....... :-)

RRR and Ringokelly both awol. Maybe this will wake them. I'm working on making the 950SE into more of an adventure bike for the Running of the Dinosaur in June.
Will also pack more stuff for a Toroweep ride. More lunch stuff for SW Utah Dual Sport Day Tripping. IMG_2473.jpg

OP here, rudely awakened from a beautiful slumber. :flip

New Kawasaki Versys 650 LT, on bridge above Virgin River near Riverside, Nevada. Traded in the green Versys after eight good years. As Mrs. RRR said, "sad to see the green hornet go." :wave The new bike is better in about a hundred different ways. :thumb As always Josh and Jason at Rocky Mountain ATV -- very easy to buy a bike!

Looking forward to seeing a few of you FFs at Moab in a few days. Ride safely getting there. I want you guys to buy me some cheeseburgers! :dukegirl

    Rubber side down, RRR.
