FFS, Please, don't give Alvin any more range to mutilate his SE. We would like to preserve the current specimen as, at least, a museum piece.

I'm close to getting her back in the game... oil leaks supposedly identified and new cooling hoses installed. Just got to get the suspension dialed and then I will have a monster to race against the little bikes! :evil

    We are getting closer!
4.7L is a great way to balance out the bike.

So you can't use a luggage top rack or plate?

Does not look like you will be able to use anything that is currently on the market and available.

Guess it opens up new options for anyone who wants to produce something now eh? Or take a big hole / or bandsaw to our current racks :hide
Either way that is a small hurdle to overcome for me. I can work around that without worry.

Perhaps Rade Garage will release a top rack similar to the 690 style rack for fuel cap access.

Some Of The 690 top racks are very nice and I'd love to see something similar adapted to the 950SE. [IMG]

Just an example, but this 690 top rack plate is modular in the sense that is can be narrow and wide depending on application / need. I can appreciate the versatility in this design and personally would like to see something like this for the SE in combination with the Rade Garage Tank.

Based on the location of the filler, it will require cutting the top of the rear fender section and any luggage plate to access it.

I think that is going to limit their audience. I feel a lot of guys that use their bikes for backcountry traveling were looking for this for extra fuel capacity. Those people usually have luggage and gear up there. An extended top plate will put that gear pretty far out there. Maybe some sort of hinged top plate.

A under seat fill would be more to my liking. Wonder how much capacity would be lost?
And a missed opportunity to have the mounting system tie the front and rear mounting tabs together a little better to do double duty as a subframe reinforcement.

Good news though: looks like our Tripleclamp Moto SubStraight subframe support solution will bolt right on even with this tank in place...

If the fill location is centered in the middle of the fender it would work with the Mosko Moto Reckless 80... just a thought... from a guy with a Reckless 80...

Looks great - from what I can see by the video and photos, it appears that apart from longer bolts at the muffler mount, our SubStraight should be directly compatible.

Now I am off to design some new top luggage plates that will accommodate this filler neck and cap...
