Awesome. What a great ride report. Respect there on your bravery. Going into these areas of Mx solo isn't for the faint of heart. A true adventure.

Epic what a great read thank you for the time spent compiling this
Found your RR link from Alaska regional so finished the Alaska report then this. Enjoyed your RR. Good narrative and lot of pics! So what is next? Heading south to S. America from Atlanta?
The Versys got hauled back to Montreal last summer but I barely rode it last season.
Last summer I did a shorter mostly trails trip to Colorado on the DRZ. There is no ride report but I posted some pictures up in this thread. http://advrider.com/index.php?threa...ado-jfmans-photo-and-video-link-dump.1109867/
I am also leaving Montreal to ride eastern and southern Mexico in 10 days for 3 weeks. I am going to ride a vintage touring bike to Cancun and fly home. It's going to be a more laid back type trip on mostly paved roads. To be honest I have not planned it out really. Gonna take my time on this one and make it up as a go along. My goal is just for my 31 year old bike to survive the trip :)
Cool! Have fun and buen viaje!
You can crash at my place if passing through Austin.
Thanks for the offer. I am thinking I'll take you up on your offer. Never been to Austin :)
Thanks for this great RR and pics.
Late...but loved every word. I'm going to get a ride into Mexico some day...

What a wild adventure. I really enjoyed reading this one.
Great ride report. Thank for taking the time and making the effort. You helped this Canadian get through part of another cold day. I miss Mexico
Awesome report! I thought it was this year, didn’t realize it has been 6.
time flies eh?!
I actually have some sweet stories to tell from my year long trip that ended in 2018 but I have been very very busy with work and my life/travel companion.
