The specs viewed side by side using the compare feature at the BMW site show very few differences.

    Fuel

    Seat height

    Fuel tank capacity

Tire spec (rims and tire SIZES same)

    So, what's going on here?

Here are the differences. There are a lot of threads talking about this bike, some like it, some don't, some say it's too wide, some say it's too heavy, some say they don't need what it offers, some say they don't need the extra fuel, while other threads talk about how to add extra fuel to a GS and so on, ad infinitum. Often the biggest detractors of the bike, already own a GS and that being said, there may not be enough here to trade in a GS for a GSA. But I've said this in other threads...both the GS and the GSA are big heavy bikes and the weight difference is around the 6% range. That 6% is easily take up by some of the big boys riding the GS. :)

Love it, hate it, buy it don't buy it...whatever floats your boat. Get something, ride it and have a good time. :)

At an estimated 2016 release, that's going to be one long wait.
