I've attempted that loop up to Sullivan and then over to Priest but keep hitting it too early and got snowed out both directions. It's a pretty long day since it's 3 hours to Sullivan for me. Overnight could be fun. Lot's of camping off Sullivan Creek. Man my summer is getting booked up!

I'm in Colbert, just north of Spokane and did the entire loop on mostly back roads and arrived back in Priest River just after 3 for a nice dinner at the Mexican restaurant. I think the total trip was only about 7 hours. It's on the long side for a ride, but there's a lot of road in the beginning and end, which is pretty easy riding. I was in my jeep, so we were not breaking any speed records anywhere. I think this would work as a day ride.

Tell me why anyone would need 2 1976 YZ 250’s ? Yeah, I don’t get it either, but I’m getting another one. Saturday morning. F*%k 9E43DF5F-EA17-4A12-8041-0427CDBF8976.png D6E80803-15B6-4DD9-9AA3-3EE926183743.png

Because they are cool bikes, so why not have two.

Along those lines, I just noticed another ATK 406 listed in the Spokane Craigslist....

I have already talked to the guy. It’s been on CL for quite awhile. He’s not budging on the price and I’m budging on what I offered him. I would rather have the 1976 YZ250X I’m getting Saturday morning anyway. Plus, I already have a ATK 406. 54CACD9A-C725-4A4C-94CE-61408C20F1BF.jpeg

It is at our shop and it starts at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, weather you knew him or not. There will be plenty of bikes to look at and lots of food. I even have all my RC boats, trucks, buggy’s and drones there. DC7EA022-1AA1-4DFA-8652-25AE9E43F67B.jpeg A34754DF-98CD-48BF-B4E0-793CC1A6B354.jpeg

Live life but be careful with those knees. I had a total knee replacement almost ten years ago and it's doing great. I'm a tele skier and dirt bike and mtn bike rider. My surgeon was also a skier and an active guy. When I asked him about spring skiing (surgery in November) he said. "Sure you can do that. You will be feeling pretty strong by then. Just be aware that the muscles and tendons heal fast but it takes some time for the bone to grow into the artificial joint to full strength. If you fall hard or twist the joint, the bone will splinter where it attaches to the metal and I won't be able to fix it. You'll be an invalid for the rest of your life. If you can just wait 'till next season it will be strong as ever."

I was able to get my insurance to pay for an Ossur CTi knee brace that I still wear same as a helmet and gloves. It doesn't do anything while riding, but if some dumbass T-bones me it will take a bunch of the energy. It probably did save my knee joint while skiing when I hit a buried stump at speed. Broke my ankle but the new knee was fine.

Weather dependent, I'm probably going to ride down to Burt's get-together. I'm thinking I'm going to take advantage of the moisture and take a somewhat meandering route across the Palouse. Probably Sands Rd/Elder/Valley Chapel/Kentucky Trail(?)/Rattlesnake Run/(whatever the connector is) to Chatcolet into Worley.

If anyone wants to join, I'm going to gas up at the Chester Store and roll at 1130ish....

I've got a load outta Boardman OR in the evening, so I can't hang out long.

Thanks to all that showed up today. Was a most excellent day. To top the day off, I picked this up today. A 1981 Suzuki PE 175. I cannot believe how fast this bike is. 770BF7C3-4BA0-4F24-A7D9-25DFF46DA6B4.jpeg
