Nice, what are catching those on? 7wt and closuers on intermediate sink?
Thanks. 8wt intermediate. Fly was an Amdersons Reducer in purple/orange/yellow.
We've caught them on clousers and deceivers too. We've also been experimenting with some Jared's Outlaws but the store bought ones are too big for an 8wt, you really need a 10 wt to throw them. I'm gonna tie up some smaller ones this winter and try them at ice out when we go back
Plan to go hungry for a while
Flying up to Cairns ( Australia ) in a couple of weeks and living out on a Reef aboard a 62 foot Mothership.
From there we will be fishing for Marlin on a 32 foot game boat for 1 week.
Photos to come.
Oh yeah, photos are mandatory!
Yes they are, fuck yeah.
I hope he has she'll of a time. That sounds like huge fun
Have returned from a sensational weeks fishing in Cairns ( Australia ) and what an experience.
Only the 4 Black Marlin caught for the week - 1 at 150lb, 2 at 400lb and one thumper at 900lb +. All caught and released in very good health.
Another game boat was fishing in our area when I hooked my 400 lb and they managed a very nice photo of my capture and they shared it with us.
I N C R E D I B L Y C O O L ! ! !
Going through a few photos and thought i'd share.
Awesome. Glad you had a great time and great fishing!
That looks like a PARTY!!!
Very cool stuff
Great start on the ice this season in southern Michigan.
36" first 20 mins out on the ice this year day before Christmas.
This morning that's me on the right with a 38" and 26". My buddy with a 36". We've caught 4 and speared another 4 in the last four days between us.
V E R Y N I C E - Lake St. Clair, Anchor Bay, Harsens Island by chance?
Klinger and Prarie River Lakes near Sturgis. We had temps in the high 40's, lots of wind, and rain the last two days that weakened the little ice we had. The gills were biting right before the storm too.
Temperature swings have been so fast and furious the ice isn't safe any longer - it was Great fishing while it lasted
With the warm winter we've had we never got ice at all!
Trip to the Manistee in Michigan last weekend
This was my third trip there and likely my last. The other two times were in the fall and while the fishing wasn't as good as this day, it was deserted and relaxed. We could fish where we wanted when we wanted. This day it was crowded and we had to take turns on spots and put up with dumbasses all day. I felt like I paid $400.00 to go to Disney Land.
The fish in the bottom pic was an EPIC catch. It took well over 5 minutes almost 10 to get in the boat. MUCH FUN!
Just returned from 3 days fishing Eucumbene in New South Wales, Australia.
A beautiful place to fish.
And even better when you're catching fish like this.
I caught 11 in the 3 days fishing which is a great result and 8 yesterday which is by far my best result with Lake fishing for Trout.
That's a beauty for sure.
Edit: You, however, are horrifically ugly
