Not huge at 2 1/4 pounds but a nice pan size none the less.
Huge, trophy fish are often too old to taste good.

I kept a huge sand bass I caught once, it's meat was crap compared to all the small ones.
I throw back the big ones now...
I had one guy on a sport boat ask me if he could have a nice fat bass I caught, I said "Sure, it's all yours!" and threw it over the rail into the sea.
I thought it was funny. Him, not so much.
Anyone had anything to do with these?

Mess of crappies from early 1980's. Rapidly changing fall weather changed and shut down all the walleyes. We fooled around in some back-waters behind the protection of some islands and found great crappie action to amuse us and had plenty to eat while camped (Northern, Minn.)

My daughter is starting to really enjoy fishing. She wants me to buy fishing boat for Christmas.
There were three of them, this one was controlling traffic to ensure the others crossed safely - pretty freaking cool
