I left home at 8:15, here I am crossing the San Mateo bridge. Super clear day, I'm heading up and over those hills.

These next 2 pics are of hwy 35 which runs across the ridge, quite a fun road.

This is Tunitas Creek road. Popular with the spandex crowd. No center line here, just narrow and bendy down CA hwy 1.

This is the turn onto Stage Rd, I got all these pics 'on the move' of course, a few decent ones here of this very picturesque coastal road.

Next up, still working my way south, was Cloverdale road and Gazos Creek Rd. The Sena was giving me issues then, so no pics this time. It can be tough to get these shots level as my head is not on straight. Gazos Creek Rd is really nice in the spring. It was very 'spring-like' on the coast this early Feb day. Note the stunning yellow color along this section on CA hwy 1. Im turning back inland after Davenport, so this will be it for ocean views today.

This is the first sign of the extensive fire damage in this area from 2020 fires. More pics of this coming.

More yellow flowers, these were all over this area.

    Great place to ride.

You know that the lens on your 10C can be rotated to level everything out, right? The angle in your pictures is triggering my OCD :rofl

    @Camcow

Thx for comment, I can't seem to get that adjustment right. What am I doing wrong? Do you mean twisting the actual lens? I see where there is an adjustment but cant tell what it does. I have messed with the bracket adjustment, doesn't seem to help. I'll need to look into this as I want them to be level, but thought it was due to my head moving, etc.

There's a tab that should stick straight up off the upper surface of the lens barrel. It can be moved clockwise or CCW to level out your picture (it is NOT a focus.) You can sort of get it pretty level looking at yourself in a mirror with your helmet on. When I mounted my 10C to my helmet, I took some test shots out in front of my house and fine-tuned it.

Ahhhh, I thought surly that was some sort of 'focus'; so of course I ignored it:loco.
Thx for this info. I will work on this. Hopefully better pics from next ride. Cheers.:-)

Now that I got some info on fixing the level part on the Sena, I'll be ready for next time. Here are more from last weedends coastal ride. About a mile past Davenport, I turn left (inland) on Bonny Doon Rd. This is where the heavy fire damage was.
    10CPROI110101-024646 (2).JPG

Many areas like this on the lower portions here. They (firefighters and residents) did a great job of saving quite a few homes. Many areas where big trees burned on one side of the street, but homes were saved.
    10CPROI110101-024954 (2).JPG

    This is Ice Cream Grade
    10CPROI110101-025538 (2).JPG

I turn left here onto Empire Grade Rd.
    10CPROI110101-025632 (2).JPG

Once at the top of the ridge the fire damage was much more intense. The fire must have ran across this ridge fast. I ride here often and usually this is heavily forested and cant see thru any of this.

Im turning right here; this is Jamison Creek Rd (goaty).

I turned right onto CA 236 for a short run thru Boulder Creek to join the very fun CA hwy 9. This shot is just coming into Boulder Creek.
    10CPROI110101-031551 (2).JPG

This portion of 9 is legendary in local MC circles. Incredible turns, gaining elevation, perfectly cambered turns. It was tough to get my hand up to click pics on this section ahead. Many other bikes out in this area on this day.

Thanks for the photos! Ride those roads occasionally, just never stop to take photos. Fortunately I am retired now and I can ride them during the week.

That portion of 9 meets up with CA 35, I went across and down 9 to Saratoga. This is another very twisty portion, all downhill. This is usually quite heavy with traffic, today there was no one in front for the first several miles. No pics as my hands were unable to leave the bars here. A rider on a GS was right behind me and were were wickin' it up a bit.
Went through Saratoga, down to highway 101, basically a 15 min freeway run over to San Jose. From there I got off 680 freeway at McKee and over to CA 130 (Mt Hamilton Rd). I already posted a bunch of pics of that part, but here is a couple from this day.

    10CPROI110101-051937 (2).JPG 10CPROI110101-052044 (2).JPG

There was actually a bit of snow at the summit here.

I crossed through the San Antonio valley and rode right past The Junction this time. Decided not to stop. Looked like they were doing well tho. New owners. I will get there soon and support them. I've mentioned The Junction before. This is Mines Rd heading to Livermore. An actual water crossing:rofl. The FJR made it without any bother...:clap

Wrapping this day up was, Tesla Rd, Cross Rd, and then Patterson Pass Rd. A few pics here of P-Pass road. Narrow, steep, nice views. Home is a short distance from here.
