We will not be moving to the lake, so the spring ride is on.

Anyone have specific dates that work? I think first week in April works with turkey season.
Some one mentioned having a ride the same weekend as the Peoria TTs June race. we could do both, just let me know.
Also, tell me what you like / dislike re routes as I hope to cover new ground.
there is sooo much good riding in the area, I just didnt take the time to plot new routes for the fall ride.

Mutineer, If you plan on taking the same aproach route I would suggest you bring dog biscuits :D

I like the same routes etc., but this time I want to get muddy, drown my bike, brake some parts and haul it back on a truck, while drinking Jack Daniels.

A big ass bag of milkbones, an accessible pistol and I refuse to check my voice mail post departure until I arrive.

Of course then I will have to have new excuses for dumping my bike.

My in-laws were in town for a few days and brought a fresh bottle of scotch.

A 1Liter bottle of The McCallan, Elegancia (whatever that means)
It was bottled in 1991. God I do loves me some canadians. they keep showing up my house with great whisky.

I'll hold back as much of it as I a can for the spring outdoor scotch tasting, but these whisky and demerol cocktails sure are good at making the toothache go away.

I'm in as well, BVcamp summed up everthing pretty well. I really liked the "top of the hill campsite" weather permitting of course.

I just returned today from a 2600 mile ride which included about 1000-1200 miles of gravel road. I rode the Trans American Trail along with 6 others. Mark Sampson "bigdogadventures.com" was our ride leader and done one heck of a job leading the ride. Had a great time and and alot of good food.

    Time to rest a bit!!

Joe forgot to mention that he finished up the trip with the Falling Leaf rally in Potosi, Missouri. His whole crew camped right next to me and SWIMBO.

    Hi, Joe! :wave

Sounds good! I learned (thanks to Motojoe) on the fall ride that the only gear you need to bring is a sleeping bag, an old boot for a pillow, and a .50 cal black powder rifle! Man did I over pack.
