Recall seeing you on the green one on the road pre-ADV.

Kavemans Backroads Dual Sport Adventure Ride 2021June 26/27 (IL)
Thanks @PlowHand - I'm Watching!
As this thread slips from an excited hive of things to come into a safe Filofax of warm nostalgic memories, I wanted to ask some advice?
I'm on a big ADV bike (I am also big @ 6'2", 250) and plan on riding tomorrow/Sunday the same trail that was graciously posted by @brewski83 at the beginning of this thread. Are there any points on the trail that are more technical - In the videos posted in the thread I saw a couple of folks struggling on a stepup next to a river and in the pix a significant spill... Want to know where the more technical points are so that I can slow down or avoid?
Honestly am more worried about the ride there than the ride when I am there, one involves other drivers..
Appreciate any advice/experience you can share?
You won’t have any problems at all if you stay on the main loops. Don’t do the small off-road loop on a big bike.
I've been your size. Around that time you could drive a car through there. Since then I've dropped 100 lbs and dropped my bike there coming down that ledge. That road is not the same after months. Stop and explore if you need to. None of us on these rides will give you too much crap and will help. Reminder ...It's private property outside the road and on the private marked sections of many tracks. I didn't take my jeep up it the same day as the ride when I took it out for it's first adventure in 10+ years if that says anything. Didn't see if it would lock in 4wd till days later either so there is that. The creek in the area stays the same depth. Down stream is deeper if you are wondering.
Hope you had fun! I’m the guy down on the 690, if I wasn’t an idiot running way too hot into a blind gravel corner I wouldn’t have gone down. That was a rider not understanding his limits and just being dumb, the tracks are great!
That pic had my knees knocking... The ride was phenomenal, lots of Twisties and plants of gravel that deepened the relationship and confidence with the bike.
Lots of flooding on the SHAT morning loop led to a few unexpected water crossings (a first for me) and friendly Hoosiers around every corner.
Thanks for putting this together @brewski83 , have it saved in my personal GPX treasure trove.
Make sure to grab the tracks for the other 2 SHAT rides, they have all been fun! And there’s tracks from other rides on here too, all in Southern IN, you could ride for days!
Heard the "Southern Eyes Trail" may be ok to ride????
There are stickers for that ride/tracks as well! Just have to look him up at all the various rides (been MIA on the last several).
You're very welcome and thanks for checking them out! Glad you had fun.
