I'm riding over Friday afternoon from Northern Kentucky (CVG area). I have a site booked, but only a small tent, so plenty of room if you want to put up a tent in the same location.
    Happy to ride over together.

    Public Service Announcement.
Our Family was at Starve Hollow this weekend.
They are sticklers about letting anyone in the camping area that is not camping. Covid related I presume
Just make sure you know what lot your on if your meeting up with someone. Lol
Also will be tough to visit if your camping or staying elsewhere.
Damn Covid.....I’m not even sure Big Foot gets Covid.

Does anyone know if it would be an issue to park in the near by Trinity Lutheran church parking lot just for the day? Planning to trailer up with three on a trailer in the morning, ride and load up and head home that evening.

The full route is roughly 170 miles total so not super long. There isn't a set start time since most people form into little groups and leave whenever. Some get up early and head out while others choose to hang out in the morning and let the dust settle before leaving, completely up to you. Just ride your own pace and have fun!

Sure wouldn't hurt to call and ask. I'm sure they would be open to it.

This is pretty spur of the moment for me I’m going to message you though because now I’d like to make this work. I’m a big camper, I go about every other weekend during the summer but I’ve honestly not tent camped in over 8-9 years and own pretty much no gear for that. Heck i just bought my bike a couple weeks ago. I just gave my truck bed tent and air mattress to a buddy awhile back haha. I’m sure i can hit up rei and find something before Friday though. Thanks for the offer I’m going to do a little research but if i can make this work i think I’m going to.

Yes, creek crossing into a rugged uphill climb. Not very long but can be a bit challenging. Not big bike friendly.

I am last minute also, too late for a spot. I am probably gonna park at Walmart in Salem and run the route from there, then head back home.

They called me back yesterday with an offer. I think it was a pretty fair one. NADA Average Retail + MSRP of all accessories + taxes. It's just enough to get one of a few bikes I was looking at for a replacement. The adjustor was very thankfully of being sent a well-notated spreadsheet of everything on the bike and photos that clearly showed the things were actually installed on the KLR, which I wouldn't be surprised if that factored into him not trying to do low-ball efforts on that value.

As it relates to this ride, I sadly won't have a payout soon enough to actually get one of those bikes on-time, so I'm stuck out. I'll have to toss in the tracks into Basecamp and hack it into a one-day solo version to ride in a couple weeks and see if I can find squatch myself.
