Looks like a petrified "worm nail" from the Phanerozoic eon. They are commonly found in limestone which our gravel roads are covered with. They are occasionally found on asphalt pavement as well. They do come in various shape and sizes. The best "antidote" is to stay in your recliner using the internet or TV.

Brewski - only met you as leaving (I'm the Brit on the 890R), but HUGE thanks for all the hard work in putting this together - absolutely great routes. I loved it.

Didn't know a soul coming into this, but feel like I have friends now! Thanks all - especially TJ and the Bloomington Posse!

Love this shot of the HOGs sizing it up at the waters edge

Bloomington Posse taking a break - think I spot Sasquatch in there somewhere...

    IMG_7009.JPG

Not sure what is more ugly, my 890R or the old brick ovens

    IMG_7019.JPG

That Tenere is a handsome gal though!

    IMG_7014.JPG

And finally......Point of impact and evidence of Sasquatch blood.

Thanks again Ryan for another somewhat successful Squach ride. I said somewhat because we didn't get a photo, but, we did see a mauled and disheveled rider. Actually it was a bit terrifying. Other than that it was a great time riding and bench racing with such an esteemed group of valiant young men.

@Gorillahands Thank You so much for the "Hammer Down" 2019 Loose Nut souvenir........I can't imagine the kind of men that had to swing a hammer like this all day........but I certainly felt safer in the woods while we were squatch hunting!

    Thank You!

Too bad I couldn't get everything done a day sooner! I spend yesterday picking up a fine specimen that would've been perfect for such a hunt.

One well-loved 2012 Tiger 800 XC with about 58,000 miles. In the last 24 hours, I've been able to jam in a couple hundred miles for a thorough test ride and find out where all the hiccups are. Definitely a few things I need to fix and dig into, but overall it's still an absolute monster. I have to say, this is quite a beast to step-up to from the KLR. I feel like if I spot the squatch, there's no way he'll ever outrun me. I was pretty sure he didn't stand a chance when I was on the KLR.
