Thanks solo, good to know. You work for the Railroad? My Grandfather, rip, was a conductor on the Illinois Central, decades ago. Always a special place in my heart for the rails.

Hi all, I've been lurking here for a while, new poster. New bike, just now getting past 100 miles on it. (Got an amazing deal on her from Big St Charles). Used to own a DRZ400 and a Sportster 1200 and I've been eying these 690's forever. Glad I pulled the trigger!

Old Tag at the National Great Rivers Museum. I'm an Alton native so I've been here a few times. It's really a cool place to learn about the locks and dams, how they get the barges through, and how the river has changed and eroded over the years. There are some interactive exhibits for kids and if you are a history or geography buff it's a great little free museum.

New tag is where a certain "Native American Dragon" used to reside. Not very far from the Museum at all and right along one of the best motorcycle roads in the country.

Nice bike. Need to get it way more dirty. I have some tags for St Louis circle that can do so, if you would like. Will replace front bearing tomorrow, may ride a bit on Tuesday. Only 24 hours off, so may have to wait for a few weeks

Welcome. I just moved away from Alton. That tag would move today if I was still there.
    Enjoy your new bike.

Definitely! I'm pretty much a weekend warrior, but I will ride after work for a bit on the nice days like today.

Thanks, and I don't blame you for moving away, whatever the reason. I work in town and own a house here, but MO is looking more and more desirable as the years go on.

Man, I forgot about this tag and was near there picking up some saddle bags and checking out a new brewery couple weeks back. Wont ride that route again for a bit, but if still up will take it. Now to just pick a new tag.

I may take a trip up to Alton. I haven’t been following the St Louis TAG, but might have to get this going again..

It’s super close to the Piasa Bird. Little further down the river road. I’d say you’re good enough if it’s up to me

Well, since I had taken highway 94 up to Alton (Lewis & Clark byway). I stayed with L&C for the next tag.
Here he rests. (If this has been used recently, please let me know, I’m too lazy to go back through all the posts.)

Cool, a cemetery tag. I'm going to look for this one, it's interesting enough to get out for a ride. :thumbup
