So while the NRL is negotiating a return of the game the AFL players are out trying to get their piece of the spot light, the vice captain even gets to contribute to Victorias lockdown fines

nrl senior players are now whining about the wages before they even start playing

i do watch nrl/afl but getting sick of there antics as so called great role models -stars breaking laws and all the rest of there carry ons

sack em all and start again with clubs getting players that want to play for the game not there overpayed lifestyle ones they have now who think there above everyone else

The Eels made great use of that advantage by the look of it.

They are still getting ready to start as they have teams from 5 States, 3 with closed borders. And they play in 6 states and 2 Territories. Must be why they call it what they do.
Will be interesting to see if/how it turns out.

When we were blanked 58-0 by the Eels in week one of the finals last year, we blamed the infamous pokies scandal. There was a review, it would never happen again.

When the Eels burst from the COVID-19 lockdown to punch the Broncos in the face 34-6 last week, we blamed injuries and suspension. It’s OK, we thought. Those first two rounds were impressive, 2-1 is fine. There’s plenty of time to recover.

But when the Roosters put on 59-0 at Suncorp last night, we have nothing to blame that makes any sense of it. Injuries to key players, stars out suspended or even a slap on More Chilli can’t explain what the hell went on for 80 minutes in Brisbane’s once-impenetrable fortress.

There’s something deeper, more systemic going on that reaches well beyond a group of young and inexperienced players; beyond an overmatched coach; beyond a veteran superstar of yore who can no longer keep up with the game; beyond a sizzling, slick Roosters side.

This club isn’t just out of form; it’s out of touch, and it’s rotten to the core.

    Ouch!

Broncs are just getting the odds up, before just scraping into the final 5 and going on to win the GF at 50:1......

So, the Australian Rugby League coach believes the only way that Rugby League can get world recognition is if the Australian Rugby League team plays the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Union team!
    WTF?
Big Mal then says that he would love to see the famous green and gold Kangaroos jumper playing against the All Blacks.
Isn't that what the green and gold Wallabies jumper is for, playing the All Blacks.
And what about the New Zealand Rugby League team, they don't rate anymore?
What a fecked up mess some sport has become in this country.
