Just lookin' in to see what's been going on. Glad you enjoyed Scoops Joel !
Hanging out at the track seems like a pretty cool way to spend time if you aren't riding!
Hangin at the track sounds like a good time!
Jb2 and I are going to get lost in the hoosier national forrest labor day week. Can't wait!!
Trust me, working the track sounds like more fun than it is. Lots of procedures to be followed, and at that level, "close" doesn't count. If we're out of the track by 10pm Sunday, given the late start, I'll be surprised.
@Bhuff - Hey, if all works out we might even get to see Joel. It's a sordid long, short-story. I'm kick-ing it around with him to see if he can stand a visit from us.
Finally where I could watch the race---and it is Jon's wedding day! Not likely to see any of it! (The race, not the wedding.)
New kickstand ordered for the KLX. Going to have it cut down by somebody who knows what they are doing
You know you are both welcome any time!
Kick-ing it?? Hmmmm. Guess I know who will be cutting a new stand.
Did the weld fail?
Not that I am a good welder by any stretch... but that weld looks like some of my crappy welding.
Not yet...but your observation was the same as JB's and I know he knows what he is talking about.
You question that I don't know how bad my welds look?
What I've seen people do is cut a section out toward the bottom, weld a piece of bar metal into the tube, and then weld the foot to both the bar metal and the upper tube.
On the VStrom there was a notch at the top that determined the lean angle. I just opened up the notch a little with a bench grinder.
Hope the wedding went well and that your & Deb's stress level is now reduced.
Another need app.
But I don't have any apps. Maybe Bhuff can download it on his Ouija-Phone?
I do like the drone-style view and that you were able to insert images at your stops. Looks like you had yourself a great ride and got in before the heat.
Leaving for southern Indiana in a few days. Not taking anything other than maps and a camera BUT, I am taking Huffman and his electronic wizardry.
Wow. That was cool. Felt like I was riding right there along with you.
I have never heard of Gale before. I did not know such a place existed between Danville and Avon.
Elvis is in for an oil change today at 17,775 miles.
Too bad you don't have your XT yet. Could stop by and grab the KLX for Brian!
Putting some miles in!
Never heard of Gale either. Didn't know I was there until it showed on the video. It inserts the pics based on the time you took them and where you were on the ride. Does it automatically.
Last free morning. Took the KLX-addictive little sucker.
Student advising about to start. Later, y'all!
+1 on getting addicted to a lightweight dual sport bike. XT coming soon. Haven't heard from the dealer yet. Love the Scrambler, it is a keeper, but I could see the XT becoming a primary ride.
That's where I find myself!
The Indian is up for anything on this trip. Hey most trails were blazed by indians. Right? Anyway cant wait to get away. 2 hurricanes from the gulf couldn't stop us. Hehehe.
Can get you very wet though.
