Police in Lethbridge Alberta have lost their minds & lack common sense
What am I looking at here? Is there suppose to be a link?
Here it is: https://www.freshdaily.ca/news/2020/05/alberta-police-arrest-stormtrooper-star-wars-day/
So a plastic, obvious not a weapon, toy results in this is the response…ah thank you very much JT for putting everyone at risk and making people act like complete shrieking idiots with calls about "guns". Fucking hell this country is going to shit.
Lol. Not sure how much pull you think JT has in Alberta..
There is a video on the page; maybe this LINK is better
SFA, but now news is coming out that many 12 gauge shotguns are potentially on the Banned list
I don’t really want to touch that debate today.
I got nobody on my side any more-- gun grabbing Liberals or the religious right, what's a poor little libertarian to do.
All I get to do is pay Fucking Taxes
Lol, @nightwolf, being an ex STROMtrooper, I thought you’d made a typo and it was some dude on a VStrom that got nicked
It takes longer to train to be a hairstylist than to become a police officer and it showed in this video.
I am not anti cop but I am anti stupid.
May the fourth be with you.
Toronto Cop - Guy runs over 26 people, cop assesses the situation, holsters his gun and single handedly makes the arrest.
Lethbridge Cop - Stormtrooper? Better call in backup.
I like to give cops the benefit of the doubt and don’t hold this against them, but i don’t think today is going to be the highlight of anyone’s career.
Ok calmed down a bit. Obviously none of the officers had any common sense or the ability to access the situation and were just running on protocol of GUN !
In fairness, a guy in a cop costume just killed 22 people a couple weeks ago.
While I think common sense should’ve kicked in when she flung the plastic gun away I don’t know what’s going through their heads. We have the benefit of being told it was a chick with a toy gun. They had to figure that out as they went along.
I'm far from either a Liberal or Religious "nut, but never considered myself to be Libertarian either. Figure I fall pretty much in the "middle" on most topics
The date & location wouldn't have figured into their "critical" thinking skills at all Maybe the owner of the business, trying to explain it to the police, shouldn't have made a difference either, before the idiots "smashed" the young lady's face into the ground
When sock boy breathily degrees assault weapons and military grade weapons are now banned it lends to the false notion that there is some sort of gun problem in Canada. The media's relentless coverage and the CBC and their bias uninformed opinion pieces further spin people up to help sell the idea. Then you get responses like this from overzealous/nervous police, who like everyone else are dining on this steady feed of fiction. Ergo my contention that sock boy has put good people's lives in danger.
The story and some of the comments.
I wonder how many of the cops were too young to have seen the first movie but studied their guns
enough to recognise that Stormtroopers used Sterling sub-machine guns.
Unlikely, the cops could never catch someone on a vstrom.
While I can’t argue about his effect outside Alberta, inside Alberta the only time I see him is in memes and the odd video where someone edits him down to his dumber moments. Favourite provincial pastimes include ranting about the CBC being Ontario centric liberal propaganda, complaining about Quebec, and reading The Rebel.
