Update, here we are at this weekends London bike show, on the weekend of the biggest storm of the year! I'm going tomorrow and am particularly gruntled about the fact A. Barry Sheene is my neighbour B. Built magazine have colour coded their carpet for my bike and most important C. We are next to the bar :drink
The yellow peril is due in the next issue of Built under the headline 'Greta wouldn't like it', if extinction rebellion get my address I'm toast :hack

Nice, and not common, use of the word "gruntled". :-)

Great that you're getting some print coverage on your bike. Much deserved.

Cheers, Dave the tuner who did the rolling road said to me 'I guess the magazines will be after this'. I never really noticed anything as I've never 'submitted' the bike to a mag or website, it was after all built for me, and for you guys actually, as something we might like. Turns out it is 'on trend', I am unfortunately not...
The Ed is going to work it in to Classic Bike too in a month or two, not sure how but if they can photoshop me hip enough for Built then anything is possible.

A bar and Bazzer, how apt - you going to spark up a fag or two just for old times sake?

Congrats on the coverage. I can see the gruntled.

That was a pleasant day apart from the London transport system shitting itself on the way back. We had the first beer at 11.15 at Marylebone station and stopped a few times on the way. I took some photos of the stand when we got there but not much else, I was the only non professional on the stand which was good. It was quite a good show, spent most of it traversing the arena between the Barry Sheene bar and the McGuinness tavern at the other end. Not feeling so hot today...:nah

Thanks for taking us along. And for getting those pix on the carpet. I've enjoyed watching your efforts. :thumb

:hmmmmm I guess I'll have to buy a Built magazine to read how other people see your creation. :dunno

Had no idea CCM built a Dakar racer at one point, cool to see. Or is this just a fake retro styled bike? Googling it is inconclusive.

It's here, they had a 'Build off'.
    https://www.ccm-motorcycles.com/custom-built/
It looks like it might actually work....One of my less mechanically minded acquaintances bought an original Spitfire (when they promised only 150 to be made...) and then later bought a 'scrambler' version as they said it would be good off road and he could fit luggage, neither of these things is true :dunno Now he has two.
Thank god they have started to paint the frames now, the first ones had carbon steel welds un cleaned and clear coated :loco, the chap I know has rust appearing surprisingly enough.

I see, thanks. Build quality has never been CCMs forte perhaps. The welds on the frame on mine are worse than what I can put out myself and that’s not saying much. And the stock electrical system, yikes...
