I would say you could find plenty of dirt to make the trip to Milfay but when I go to Arkansas I always go 66 to 16/62 to to Talequah so you might try the same but opposite. :lol3 However if you want to ride dirt the whole way I am sure you can we can barely afford pavement in this state. We plan on riding the dirt around here but please keep in mind the riding dirt in Arkansas is like going disney world, riding dirt in Oklahoma is like going chucky cheese. Hope that helps!

Next time your through this way look me up. I'm about 1 mile north of Hwy.62 east of Ft. Gibson...except on the weekends. Then I am about 500 yards south of 62 in Prairie Grove, Ar. The twisties between Tahlequah and Westville are a blast!

well my delima is, being that far away, close to 100 miles from me, I would like to ride the harley over and it packs more camping gear (pavement only, not a dirt bike) but if it's mostly dirt, would be real hard to justify riding the XR400 over when top speed is only 60mph (geard for dirt), limited camping gear..thus is why I ask...now if by miricle I can sell both the harley and the XR by then and get that F800gs I want, then I wouldnt be worring so much..:1drink

If you want to come over, I have no problem riding a pavment loop and showing you around a little.

I'm voting for the XR... I was worried you would walk away from me on the Harley!! I'm planning on 16/62 west to Beggs and so traffic should be light...nice an easy! Straight as a string so nudge me every so often to wake me up!!

yeas, the harley will not only walk away from you, it will RUN away from you..but it will also go as slow as I want it too..now, I could very well trailer the XR to your house then we can ride from there..I reckon that sounds like a plan, eh?

Lewall, you needs to ditch the Harley. It causes entirely too much worrying. Maybe I'll tag along and meet these OK guys with ya.:ricky

am retired Search and Rescue, done LOTS of camping and have a ton of gear, so I am good to go! Will only be able to strap on maybe 35 pounds of the ton on the XR tho. :evil
