as I sed, lets HOPE for better and warmer wx by FEB 7!
You be talkin to an ex pro-motocross rider, I'm good, the turd BMW might not be so good when we get there though.
The weather sure sux today! I'm very glad we rode thursday!
I rode today!
You're a brave one Dirt....that wind was cooooold !!! I saw some Harley guys in Prairie Grove Saturday...in the parking lot west side of town. Don't know what happened but there was EMS, PD and a fire truck there. Gonna find out.. Left the KLR in Fort Gibson and caged over.
I'll plan to join you for Lunch and the afternoon ride.
I only camp when Dirt2007 makes me and I'm too far from home to get back. Oh and did I mention it needs to be T-shirt weather.
Looks like the weather may be good for the weekend ride... calling for 70 degree days and low 40 nights. Damned civilized! I'm pretty well iced in here and branches all around...much worse east of here. Careful folks...branches still poppin' and droppin'!
I am trying to get another head count for Feb 7th, I am going out to Betty Lous on Satuday for lunch and wanted to give them a projection of rough gnarly burger eating bikers that will be there for lunch on the 7th. Weather is looking good but hopefully most of the locals square off some time for a burger!
So once again who is in?
Take a gander at the first post on this thread and let me know if you need to be added or subtracted
out, conceal carry class.
Count me... IN! SpankyXV
I'll protect you.
Oh, and Newner, I'm still in.
I stepped out in the garage this morning and the ol' Pig oinked at me...she want's to go.
I will hook up with Lewis for the trip to Betty Lou's and ride back with Z50...no camping for me this time.
Ooo, lookin at this. Weather supposed to be nice. Who was offering up floor space? I don't know if I"ll have my new tent by then, if I do then this would be an awesome field test.
Oh, for anyone worrying not being able to go fast enough, I got some ratchet straps and can probably tow up to 110 or so.
Izzat me? I'm gonna try to make this. Bike is in pieces right now and I teach till 3:50pm on Sat, so I'll be hauling ass out of Tulsa as soon as possible. I assume I'll just meet you guys at the campground. Any riding scheduled for Sunday?
Silver- if you need to borrow a tent, I'm your man. Send me a PM.
DirtyDog: Thanks! I have a tent but it's in the process of being sold so I can get a different one. Just needing to make sure that goes down.
I'm out anyhow though will prob be going to the BOK for the AMA arenacross.
Well I bet you can take DrLewall off the list, he is stranded at his home and isnt going to have power for up to 4 weeks! I'll be cutting trees for the next month too, I sure would have liked to ride over and hang with you guys....we will be there next time!! Ice storms suck!
Still plannin' on it, prolly drag BigTee along with me.
So what did you get?
Selling a Eureka Spitfire solo. Liked it but need more vestabule and interior space for moto camping. It just wasn't enough. Going to get a Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 which I think will more than meet my requirments. Shorter poles(I couldn't't believe how long the eureka one man tent poles were) and bigger vestabules/I can also store my gear in the tent with me if needed.
Have heard a lot of reviews on the seedhouse and pretty much all have been good.
Thought I would post some pics of my exploration of the South Depew area and the Deep Fork wildlife management area.
Cold weather mods to the KTM and adding a GPS mount (was a little chilly that day)
I think these were some of the deep fork river bottom monsters all the locals seem to talk about.
Here are some shots of the the WMA area
Here is where my KTM decided it was tired and it wanted me to call my brother so he could pick us both up and take us home. :huh
