Stupid Question...maybe?

    So why does the final drive have a Hex nut at the fill hole and a Torx nut at the drain hole?
    Has to be a logical reason right?
    Or is my GSA different?

    Thats a question 10,000 GS owners have been asking since the LC wethead were released 2013.

    The entire bike is 96% torque nuts and a few places like brake calipers and final drive thats something else... weird for sure..

    My 85 Jeep, commonly had a metric nut on an SAE bolt, one or the other was threaded to match.

    How about the skid plate on a camhead...

    2 x 13mm nuts, t-25 and t-something sized torx for essentially 4 bolts that do the exact same job.
