    Style question for you all.

Q: Is it acceptable for a person to wear full leathers on a adventure bike? Or is it a fashion tragedy? Some say textiles only!:deal

I've been wearing full leathers on my Strom for the past few years.

Picked up a Rev'IT Cayenne and Ultimate Pant combo this year though.

I was just wondering? I'm taking off on a 2k trip (mostly highway) and I didn't want to look like a retard. Don't kid yourself...I'd look alot more stupid with no protection, but I have textiles. There is definately that sense of security with leathers. I think that I might wear leather pants with a mesh textile jacket. Best of both worlds. Any comments?
    Sincerely,
    Style guy.

Who cares how you look? Go with what makes you feel safer, more secure, etc... the ADV crowd isn't affliated with the RUB fashion police, there are no rules, except one.

If you look like the pink power ranger, we're gonna laugh. :razor

RUB= Rich Urban Biker, the Rugged Individualists who buy the same bike, wear the same clothes, and ride to the same bars, all activities officially sanctioned by The Motor Company. You don't seem to be afflicted with their condition :augie ...

We don't have a dress code around here in Alaska, maybe there's more pressure in your area but I've never seen much peer pressure from the folks that are worth hanging with in the DS crowd, and we have all kinds of bike owners, more than a few HD owners, some sport bike guys, etc.

I have leathers because I got fully suited out when I got my Ducati last summer. Wheni I traded it for my GS, I got the Ralley 2 suit. I still wear my street leather (a lot) but if I'm going for a log ride or don't know what the weather's gonna do - Ralley 2.
