I think I've read all of the threads related to the vacuum fuel pump upgrade, but could find where you guys are picking up a vacuum source for the stock emission bikes. The threads refer to SAS free bikes. Did I miss something? What would you all recommend?

    Thanks.

There are 4 holes on the intakes. 2 on each intake. Clearly visible without removing anything. Replace a bolt with a connector and you are set..

as David P said. Use one of the barb fittings on the manifold below the carbs. Make sure it has a large diameter opening. (Front left side one on my 950 Adv) and be sure to close your petcock when you are done riding.

Having difficulty finding one locally. Anyone have an online source? Is the correct size 6mm ? Haven't had as chance to pull the manifold bolt yet.

    Thanks, appreciate the info.

TN gave the correct thread size. Don't you have some vacuum hoses on your SE already? Lotsa guys just add a "T" fitting in one of those.

Haven't been able to source the metric threaded hose barb locally and went to the KTM dealer to get a price on the OEM part.

    $31.00 dollars!!!! Really. :eek1

using the vacuum pump you will use one of the barbed fittings for the vacuum on the pump. so you still need to purchase another so you have 2 x barbed fittings free for carb syncing.

yes you can T off one barb fitting for the pump & syncing but you get a false/uneven reading when u sync compared to the other free intake vacuum.

E.G. your better to sync direct to each intake vacuum so your carbtune gets a correct reading on each chamber.
NOT try & sync with a T in the line because you be syncing the intake & pump when the time comes to do it.

maybe David P could add a brass fitting to his vacuum pump kits ? as that part is really needed when you do this mod for future sevices

You need the larger one. Smaller one doesnt allow enough flow to actuate the pump

yes that's correct i used the rear intake barb that was fitted to my bike & swapped it over to the left side. (pic above)
    ITEM 10 (munn online manual 07 950 super enduro) - 60036023000 VACUUM CONECTION M6/1MM M-GROOVE $27.93

what about when syncing the carbs ? do you use 58336020190 VACUUM CONECTION M6/3MM on the right on each intake so there equal sizes for vacuum flow readings ?

    OR

use the same sizes that came with the bike for syncing ?

    ITEM 8 (munn online manual 07 950 super enduro) - 58336020190 VACUUM CONECTION M6/3MM '97 $3.31
