Cool, I've been looking for a carbon headlight mask for my SAS. If you ever see one could you let me know. Didnt see one on maxicarbons site. Surprised, because they make them for the SAT. And they would go on the SAR as well.
@rick danger E-mail maxicarbon, they don't list the 1290 but they DO have 1050/1090 parts on demand which include the front fairing.
Yeah, I did. The headlight masks I saw are different than the SAS and SAR. I also asked them what this is. I figure its for the front of the engine where the SDGT spoiler thing and plastic bash plate on Adv. models goes? Wish there were pics of it on the bike.
So I rode through a light rain on the 2020 last week. It was the first for my bike. Everything worked well with the TC. No surprises. I experimented with the slip in Performance mode. It would step out at level 4. If it was in first and you cracked the throttle quick it could spin at any level briefly but mostly it just wanted to wheelie. ABS passed with flying colors. Now, the next day. I lost my right turn signals. No codes. The left functions fine. WTF. I tried a hair dryer on the switch. Then I opened it up. You could definitely do some expensive damage inside there. There was nothing I could see to fix. This sucks. Has anyone dealt with this? Waited for parts for 6 months?
That is seriously curious.....my bike tells me if a blinker goes out. So you shouldn't need parts, I agree you are looking at the switch, so its a matter of cleaning the contacts. A pencil eraser usually works best on the slide path.
There really is not a contact to clean in there. It’s a micro circuit board with those tiny pressure switches. Your bike’s coming together!
