Our friends at KTM asked if anyone here is interested in taking a survey related to bike suspensions if you have a bike 2016 or newer...

They're partnering to give away $500 to up to 3 inmates who respond.

It's being managed by Clarity Research but we're helping to get responses via an ask for help from KTM. We're not being compensated for this, just trying to help out.

I just did it; I suspect it was commissioned by WP or Sachs, but that is just a guess.

That was very annoying, it asks the same question 10 times just shuffling the options around

it was a bit long, my feedback to them will definitely be to make it shorter.

That’s a typical way to get you to rate things more accurately than listing 10 things and asking you to rate them 1-10. Still annoying, but at least there is a reason.

I guess a 950SE is already perfect they don't want my opinion. And yes it is.

It looked to me that the researcher wants to pimp lightweight (no metal spring) and electronically controlled suspension. I'm betting KTM is seriously considering this for their off-road bikes.

Or, I'm wrong. :norton Cant wait to see what new patents appear.

Since WP has the only air forks that don’t suck, I think they are trying to see if they are perceived as a value in the marketplace or if they should just give up and go all spring.

Based on my responses, they're best to stay with coils given the other options. I would love super low mass spring suspenders and wheels on one of my bikes, though. That's where my unicorn duckets would go.
