An alternative to synthetic trans/FD lube is to use regular mineral based lube, but to also add 5-10% Dow Corning "M Gear Oil Additive" - this is a moly additive. Not recommend for synthetic lubes or for the crankcase (or where crank oil is the trans oil as with wet clutches). This is not snake oil like a lot of the teflon and other moly lubes, this stuff works well and it has smoothed out shifting in Gertag trannies for years.

It is not easy to find and costs about $30 per quart, but at 5-10% it goes a long ways.
