I' ll come across form Chester and not sure the route after that. After that I'LL check the camp ground for other riders and then??????? should be back about dark, or in time for supper. See ya there. Kevin & Kevin.

Buzzez's girl will be riding along so the KLR stays at home. We'll be heading out on the GS early Saturday AM. We'll most likely ride straight to Grass Roots taking the levy road route. We should be getting to the shop around noonish. Afterward we'll ride in the general directions of the campgrounds. See you all then.

    Hi all,

1st post here. So are you meaning to tell me that someone else has a bike in Missouri!!!!!!! I'm a socal transplant and have never been on any kind of ride/rally/whatever you call it but would love to check it out. Been looking for a way to find a challenging fun ride around these parts and its sounds like fun. Just stumbled into the post and know it starts this weekend I believe but haven't even had time to read up on it yet. Can someone save me the trouble and time and give me some quick details. Be much appriciated. Not all set up like I'm sure all of you are but I'll wait for you at the top if you'd be kind enuf to share the adventure.

    Cheers,:slurp

There's a series of farm roads and levy roads you can ride from Columbia, IL to Chester, IL. I usually cross back into MO at the St. Genevieve ferry so I can ride through Mark Twain NP. It's a quick way out of the city for me.

It looks like I can make this. Not sure if I will come up Saturday morning or Friday night. It's only 50+ miles away for me.
I may bring the bike in my truck and maybe my little camper since the guy that bought it on ebay hasn't shown me the money yet.
If I do,,,,I'll bring some firewood and maybe a cooler full of ice to reduce ridiucule and ribbing. :D :photog
I do have a small tent but have never used it and don't have a pad to sleep on. Might kill my back. :tough

Chance of rain Friday night and 60% chance on Saturday.

    Hey all,

Just a shout out to let you know I'm heading out (rain or shine) in the AM for the Castor River CC. I'll be going there via the levy roads down to St Genevieve, then to Cape Gerardo.(for lunch at Grass Roots) If'n any one else wants to team up, let me know and we can meet at the gas station at Route 3 and 255. Either way, I hope to see some of you down there.

Well, It was a wet one. :nod Still had a great time. Met up with some ADVRiders at Grass Root open house and headed over to Van Buren (In the rain ) so we could ride the tram trail.

Had some thrills, spills, minor mishaps and ran out of daylight but we all survived and got some good memories. I'm going to bed but here are a few pics we took.

Does riding a trail in the rain at night sound like fun? :nod
