On the way home I turned up Plymouth rd to get in a few more km. It climbs up to around 1200ft altitude to the base of the ranges. The fog was so thick I couldn't see my front guard.
how long do you have to live in the naki before you're allowed to display a hard core sticker? is it ok to buy your own, or does protocol require it can only be bestowed on you after say, some particularly funny dickery? like a citizenship ceremony kinda thing?
What can I say? A true Naki'ite doesn't need to buy any tacky sticker, we have it BRANDED on us at birth. Obviously decorum dictates that you should never ask to see it....
sounds like i need to organise a bit of a ride then. maybe a orienteering/navigation type thing use some logic to figure out a location, and get yourself there to answer a question ya wont be able to cheat with street view on google should it be timed? maybe. maybe an emphasis on taranaki, but the way points could be anywhere in say, the central north island it will likely take you a couple of days. how you do it, routing, accom etc on your way round is up to you. all culminating in a summertime bbq and a hard core sticker for all the right answers. that could be at my place (urenui) but i havent built my big shed yet and realistically that wont be til the 2nd half of summer. is that something fellas might be keen on? if so, might get its own thread
Sounds like a plan Wairau - I am a gun at navigating - simply follow the guy in front! (Seriously it does sound interesting). Mike
