Last minute poll to see if any inmate will be near the Ozark National Forest this Sunday. I had an inmate planning to meetup there and continue TAT together but his bike broke down en route. I'd prefer to ride with another TAT rider/group if possible.

    Maybe too late. Thanks.

If I were in the area I would. I’ll still be in NC this Sunday. Sorry bud but good luck!

Leaving out of Salida, CO for OR on Aug 12. Two guys from New England who did the first half last year. Running a 13' CRF250L and 89' XT600 (kicker-only!) We're looking for help with bike transport back to anywhere on the east coast early Sept.

Hot today in AR but tolerable. Hydration pack filled with ice water did the trick.

Stopped by the TAT Shack, signed in and grabbed a beer. Apparently dry county but the TAT Shack owner fills the mini fridge with beer. Left $5.00. Hit the spot.

    Stopped at Oark Cafe.

Good day today on the TAT.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Way overpacked as usual. I came down Warloop Road. Be careful as very slick and treacherous with mud and lot of rocks.

I video'd my descent down Warloop Road. Luckily, the Husky 650 has decent suspension and I just gassed it. No way to go up that freakin road with mud and rocks.

While gassing up in Tennessee right next to Mississippi, a car pulled up to us and an oddly familiar guy asked if we were on the TAT. Turns out he looked familiar because he was Sam. Said he saw us in his rear view mirror and figured we were on trail, so he turned around to chat. Small world and great great guy.

Deviated to Fayetteville, AR to check out the ale trail and will be picking up the TAT in Lincoln, AR when sober. Anyone else up here?

Hi. I'm leaving Atlanta solo around July 7th to start the TAT. Heading North at the CDT to Yellowstone. Open to traveling with others! On a DRZ400, plan to camp and motels.

Hi seckinjo, leaving LA on TAT east to Denver but now locked into Jul 17 leave date, are you flexible? I'd love to have a ride along, I'm on a CRF250L, not the speediest but I like to get there.

    Hi Mike,
Where are you from? I'm from the Space Coast also, here in Valkaria. I've done the eastern TAT already as far as Arkansas, flying out to California July 17 to pick up a CRF250L to do the eastern part backwards as far as Denver. Looking for someone riding the same time and direction.

Fair warning to all as I did OK for few hours yesterday and about an hour today before I decided to slab it to Boise City, OK due to furnace like temps here.

Arkansas was great riding. Lot of good technical trails and cool areas to ride.

No need to worry about the mud in OK due to heat.

Should make it to Trinidad, CO tomorrow. I have some great videos of the warloop road and other but no way to get it off my sd card until I get home.

    Closure report.

Part of TAT utlizing 69 south and 160 was closed due to fire.

We had to reroute to Pueblo to hook back up to TAT.

Riding solo back, when do you expect to be in Moab? I plan to be there on July 24th, after coming up from the LA route on my CRF250.

Moab is on my return side , therefore the middle of August.

However, the first leg were turning right at Moab and going North.
    Probably around that same week.

Moab is that fork in the road on the way there if you wanna make a big loop

Update on CO closures. 160 and 69 themselves are open, but the area in between them where the TAT goes is closed. They said the fire is 75% contained. We cut over to Walsenburg.

The TAT north of 69 is open as is the forest land that it cuts through.

Currently camped just north of the I40 in Arkansas. Pushing on when the sun comes up if anyone is around.
