Thanks for taking us with you.
Well done, I have been following a couple of solo TATers as an inspiration to do it myself next year solo.
I agree with HBLQRider, Thanks for taking us with you.
Well-done Sir, congratulations.
You inspire me.
Awesome trip! I love the daily log, I have kept a spread sheet of the miles a day by three other TAT ers that kept logs as I use it to plan my finish of the western side of the TAT. So thanks a million for that!
Not many have recorded the new route through Idaho!
BTW, you ate some miles up every day at a stiff pace. Great job!
So..in summary, what would you cahnge or do differently???
Really great report. Loved the format, level of detail, and pictures. Looking forward to a 2018 trip now also seeing Idaho and Oregon.
Fine job! What an enjoyable read!! I'm jealous as hell! And can't wait to follow in your footsteps in the very near future!
Mind sharing the logs you got so far? I've been wanting to do that also!
Sure, If I can figure out how to attach them!
way to go - congrats
Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback. Your excitement and energy was contagious and kept me motivated to get out and ride at the crack of dawn every day. Once I decompress, I plan to write up a trip summary and answer a few outstanding questions.
Incredible thread and journey! You've got my wheels turning about doing this route and have opened my eyes to the DR650. Thanks for all the effort and work!
Well done!!! What a thrill to ride along with you through your daily log. Reading it would intrigue me, scare me, make me laugh, and admire you.
Skua? That is a reference I'd not have expected on Adv.

The gates are there for the other people who don't want it bad enough. We had to drag ours under them also. Easy peasy! We also encountered the dead end section and just had to feel our way out of that section. You sure weren't gonna make it through without a whole lotta bush whacking for who knows how long. Nice report.
Really nicely done. You are to be admired for both doing the trip (solo I might add) and writing it up as you did.
You have given me more information for my trip with a friend planned in 2018 ... added to my excitement about it ... and at the same time made me a little more nervous about it
