Ok, I'm old, and slow, and stupit... so sue me... oh one more thing, I'm not high...yet.

I went to this site http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com/ and downloaded a bunch of bin files for california topo maps. How do I get mapsource to recognize them?

    Specifically
    1) Where do I put them in the Garmin Directory
    2) How do I access them once they are there.

    Thanks

Its a bit beyond me at the moment, but it looks like you put the .img files wherever you want. Then you use the cGPS program to create a .tdb, and then edit your windows registry to point MapSource to the new .tdb file. It should show up in the map pulldown menu along with the other maps you have installed (eg US Topo - West, World Map, etc) Instructions are in section 5 of the manual .

I would put the .img files in a new directory next to the West, East, Worldmap etc directory, and the .tdb file in the Tdb directory. This assumes that you copied the map data you have over to your hard drive in the first place- not running it off the CD drive,
