Correct. The 2.3 Turbo combination in the Thunderbird weighs 450 lbs approximately. Don't know what the "eco boost" stuff weighs.

I have a PPV(police pursuit vehicle). They are 2wd. Bunch of performance upgrades like posi 3.73 rear. 140mph speedo.

The 4wd ones are SSV (special service vehicle).

I didn't know they came with the 6.0l. Thought they were 5.3. That will be fun. There was a video of some guy bringing his truck in to some techs at the dealer for a whistle. The mechanics expressions were funny.

They do come with a 5.3l. but the 6.0l is a direct swap. I ran a 150hp kit of nitrous on the 5.3l and now it's knocking away. It was my first time using nitrous and I guess I got a little over zealous. :pynd

The Coyote is 450? Is that complete/ready to run? That seems pretty heavy for an all aluminum motor. I'm betting the OHV design adds to the weight.
An iron (old school) small block Chevy is around 470 with an aluminum intake. My Caddy motor is mid 500s with an aluminum intake.

    Whoops haha.
Those motors are capable of handling humongous power in stock form. 150 shot should be no problem... I wonder if you broke a ring or cracked a piston. Stock ring gaps would be too tight for very much nitrous.

Sounds like a really cool project. You should post some photos.

There's an LTZ model that has the 6.0.
I'm hoping to eventually get my hands on one.

I was kidding (sort of). I'm still recovering from wrenching on cars out of necessity when I was younger and could only afford the ones nobody wanted. For example at one time I may have stockpiled the most parts on this continent for the 1960 Peugeot 403 because otherwise you couldn't find any. It was easy to work on, built like a tractor and almost as simple... yet it had a hemi, many alloy parts OEM, and a hand-crank off the front pulley if you had a dead battery!
