Park on the US side in the lot that is on top of the hill. It is safe, always someone there. And cheap. You can ride your bike across the border from there.

Are you referring to the gated lot about 1/4 mile straight North of the border crossing on Humphries Rd? The lots on Tecate Rd near the Border crossing look sort of sketchy for extended parking of a pickup and trailer.

Thanks desert Dave! It doesn't look like high security fencing but at least its off the beaten path away near the border entry. We'll check it out. Maybe I'm worrying too much and the ones up the street from the border crossing are fine with all the law enforcement across the street.

Please update the thread after your trip with the lot you choose.

I always use the lot directly across from the gas station. Has a small coffee stand right in front of it. The manager there is a rider, and has always been helpful. Never had any problem whatsoever, and wouldn't hesitate to park there for any length of time.

Well the secure parking lot I'm talking about is across the street (on the west side of the street). I don't have a good pic of it from the street.

This is a pic from the lot itself. The trailer just outside the fence is the coffee stand. Across the street is the gas station.

This lot is very secure. It can get pretty busy at times, and there are other lots popping up but I use this one as my primary go-to lot when I can.
