Hello! I am new here, I am MiniMos, son of Melville. From the very same guy that has loaded up my father with airheads, he has sold me his old 1986 R80 RT. Started bone stock, still is bone stock but is now just missing many many parts, and has an aftermarket cafe seat and fairing. So yeah, this is me dipping my toes into the world of airheads, and this forum. I think I'll have a whole lotta fun and a badass bike.

However, posts on this thread will be very sporadic since the bike lives in a whole different state than I do, (it's a long story but that's just the way of things).

I also don't know why each pic decided to turn sideways after I forced them not to.

Welcome n00b! Great to hear from some younger blood.

As you probably already know, the vast majority of folks are here trying to be helpful. Only the occasional troll.
As questions come up, if you can't search for a satisfactory answer, post up and someone will chime in. Lots of great stuff in the Airheads forum to look through.

Stay safe and get more of your friends involved in motorcycling.

Welcome... I thought from the title you were having problems with older music that wasn't in stereo ;-)

I'm parting out most of my 87' r80 monolever if you need anything hit me up.
I'm making it a dirtbike, so all the frills are getting ditched.

For sure, I'll hit you up as I figure out what I need most. I'm very excited to be in this community, and to hear input from more experienced individuals because this is my real dive into carbureted vehicles and motorcycles. I got my room mate W (keeping him anonymous, but he might join this as well) into motorcycles as well.

Welcome to the fold noob. It will require patience, humility, and discipline but the rewards are worth it. You will gain much knowledge and many skills. Carry on.

When I was a teenager struggling with Mono, it meant something different and kept the girls away.

Welcome noob. That bike don't look bone stock. You're already a leg up from a functionality/rideablility standpoint on all of the old man's twin shockers. :hide The R80 monolever was the best airhead ever produced IMO. Looking forward to following your journey.

I've noticed that if you try to reduce the original image size before downloading it to the post it turns it sideways.
