tempted by 200E set me straight

    I've done that when a clutch cable snapped on a P200E with a sidecar attached. In case you ever wondered, you *can* wheelie a P200 with sidecar.... and absolutely should not attempt to do so, ever.

    At least if you don't want to have to replace both your pants and your seat cover that is.

    The way the clutch cable attaches to the clutch arm on the P200E and other old 2 stroke Vespas is ridiculous, it bends the cable every time you pull the clutch. I always carried a spare. Except for minor things like braking cables the P200E is very reliable. I sold my last one with over 80,000 miles and it never once left me stranded. The spare tire is another big plus.

    One important maintenance item that most owners forget is decarbonizing the engine every 2400 miles. Its a pain but important.
