That seems a satisfactory test, Windblown. I am going out to the garage now. Be right back.......

I have center stand and the swingarm is suspended. Solid, up and down, and side to side.

North America bike, manufactured April 2020.

On side stand push the rear end up to where the rear wheel is off the ground a little, have the other hand at the contact point between the swing arm and frame. Do the same with the linkage.

To me it was especially noticeable the first time taking it off road and then noticing how my DRZ does not make the same noise- swing arm rattle. Ive since decided to ignore it. Maybe new swingarm bolt and bushings replaced at 50K miles worst case scenario?
