Hi - I'm looking for a Tenere 700 and willing to travel anywhere in the US for one...

Looking to spend around $10K with some basic mods - crash bars, skid plate - already done.

    Thanks so much.

Thanks for sending. I've seen a few here and there for around $12K which doesnt make so much sense to me since the MSRP is $10K.

I understand there is a waiting list but I'd rather buy new then and wait vs. spend more for a used one.

I also feel like some people are buying them to flip them to make a profit.

You wont find any for $10,000 new. Most new models are going out the door for $11,000 with dealer prep and taxes. I paid $11,400 a year ago. And that's with zero add ons.

Makes sense and I get it...

I've seen some people say they've gotten theirs for $10,500 + taxes but even at $11,400 I would think the price after driving 2,500 to 4,000 miles would come down to $9,500 or so. Part of me feels that the depreciation shouldn't include taxes since I need to pay tax as well when I register it.

It seems because of the demand that some people are basically buying them and riding 2,000 to 4,000 miles and trying to sell them for what they paid for them or a few % less. I'm OK with that but I think as time goes on and more enter the market, prices will naturally go down as supply increases.

I've still seen a couple here and there which I've tried to get which made sense:

I'd rather buy from an inmate here if possible though...

Supply and demand. Just like the used car market and real estate. Inflation is here to stay!
