I pack a couple ziplock freezer bags in my tent before I go camping, gets really cold here in Iowa. Just zip it up and set it outside the tent.:1drink

Or double bag it and use it as a sleeping bag heater. :freaky

I have to admit, when I head east, it's usually still dark in Jackson.

Will do. You the camping sort? I'm looking forward to Mouse Tail landing come spring.
Right down the road from Jackson.

Open letter to the guy on Push Mountain Road (Ar 341) yesterday. (5/25/14)

Dear Dude on silver sport touring bike,
I'm sorry you got stuck behind my dad poking through the corners. I'm still teaching him the ropes on mountain cornering but alas, its hard for a flatlander on a big hog.
Anyway, I felt bad about us holding you up so that's why I motioned you past. However, it was only later I realized that due to poor hand signaling, I had inadvertently challenged you a drag race on the straight part.
Watching you carry that wheelie up to about 80 and then lower it to make the hard right made my day.

When my father and I got to the intersection at 14 he asked me "did you know that guy?" I smiled and proudly said "yes". :lol3

You'll probably never see this post, but I still felt compelled to write it.
    Stay speedy my friend. :thumb[IMG]

Thanks, this was memorable trip. Long story (I'll tell you over a beer someday) but My pops and I haven't really been close the last 19 years.
I cooked up a last minute trip over to Rodgers, AR to help us re-connect.

It was very strange to be mentally tethered to the type of rider/bike that is usually in my way slowing me down.
At one point I was so far ahead of him I thought maybe I was adopted. :lol3

    Hello!
Yeah, but a lot less. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll be getting out on the bike more often, that's for sure.
The Wee is actually getting better! (or I'm getting worse) :lol3

Good to hear you'll able to ride more. I recall you were without the Wee in the beginning. For me, I really enjoy riding out here in CO, but I also miss a lot of the riding in TN.

Yeah, probably bad form to quote your own post, but I made it back to mouse tail to do some soft-core moto-camping with pops.

Not much to tell, but everyone likes photos with bikes and tents I hear.

Pops crashed again on a slow uphill right hander. Not hurt, but I'm not sure what to do about this going forward.
A foot or two more to the right and we would have needed a tow truck.

    +1 on that!

Good to hear from you again J.

How does your dad feel about riding? There is always the trike option.
