The problem with that is the chuckleheads who have a smart ass comment as their location: "In your mom's bedroom", etc. Or even a non specific region: "norCal", etc. You'd have to have everyone put a legit city and state in or the whole thing goes off the rails.

So you are saying we need a human intermediate to qualify each entry?
I don't know about average behaviour, but in good spirit of tent space v2 itself, wouldnt it be better and less work if that kind of behaviour would be reported after the fact?
Currently it looks like a CSV is added to a shared Google Maps, with all Tent Space locations: tentspace oct 5 2018.csv
So adding/removing a location to a dynamic table should be possible. There's a Google Maps API https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/
From what I see, it can be done with a JSON (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/importing_data )
I have some technical knowledge, but I'm not a programmer though... :zilla

I don't know how customizable the Advrider forum is. Say, is it possible to at a checkbox to the profile with "available on tentspace" and an embedded google maps window where one could enter his/her location?
And then a box where one could enter the info about what is offered.

    Just some brainstormin'

Curious how to fix my location. Couple inmates have contacted me, but only because it is showing the wrong locations 1000's of km away...

The map has my location a bit north and out in the ocean from where the house is, or town for that matter.
But, the coordinates supplied point to the local high school.

I should point out that the locations on the Tent Space Map are intentionally not precise. The object is to show the general location, not the exact address. I think somewhere a while back we figured anything around five miles was close enough.

This has been brought up several times in the past, and though I think it could be useful, I just can't think of a way to make this happen. The current Tent Space is forum-based, which, so far as I know, couldn't support any sort of feedback system. Trying to implement ratings for travelers and hosts would probably require a separate website, or a much more detailed sign-up process.

Right now only about 1 out of every 200 members on this site has offered a Tent Space. If there were additional hoops to jump to sign up, the percentage would go even lower.

I'm pretty happy with the system as we have it now. The feedback I've gotten and read about in the forums is overwhelmingly positive. Every now and again, I'll hear about a not-so-great experience, but that's rare... I guess I'll fall back on the old trope, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Oh, and thanks again to everyone who has offered a place on the Tent Space. I'll repeat that statistic that only 1 out of every 200 members here are on the List, so to those of you who are, you're in a special group. Thanks.

Thanks for the insight Jamie, I got in fairly early about post 100 and have had a few great inmates come through. Between that and my little rally about 30 inmates have laid down their heads for at least a night. When we get our Moto Inn up and running I will update my post to reflect that and a link to the vendors thread that should be operational by then.
