Does anyone know if Chip is still active on ADV. I was hoping to ride portions of the TETs this spring. I sent the request but have not heard back yet. I hope everything is OK.

I also sent the request (only this morning albeit). Looking at his profile, it looks like he was last here on 2/10/2015.

I was hoping to catch a portion of the route in about a week and a half.

OK so we have to discuss the inevitable if Chip is no longer active. Do we want to take over updating the routes and files.

I dont have the data but would like to look at it.

If anyone is willing to share I will not pass it along...

    Thanks...

Hope all is ok with Chip

As far as I know Chip is doing very well, his time has been filled lately by doing a yeomans share at work and family.
Without a concrete ruling by Chip, I'd be wary of sharing the tracks myself.:deal

Well if Chip isn't going to maintain these stickies, someone needs to make a decision to take over the dissemination of the trail info to verified members.

The other thread has been quiet and admins non responsive for over 3 months.

I was disappointed to not get the tracks in a timely enough fashion to be useful to me for my recent trip, but you are making demands as though you are a customer who has paid for a service that he has not received.

I do not see how it is anyone's obligation to share with any of us the fruits of their labors, timely fashion, or not.

Of course I have developed a number of high quality local loops that I tend to keep closely guarded myself, so I know that I have a different perspective on this issue than most.

I have dozens of routes for great loops in North Georgia, TN, and SC. Some well known, some not so much. I am going to start posting those up so we can share the fun...

Cool! Make sure you give it a catchy title Like "These rides don't suck" or something.

When following this route were you using the GPX files for the TET? If so did you run into many closed or gated roads up in the hills and have to back track and re route ??

    I built TET-S.

    Chip handles the distribution.

There are no gates on this route - it's all public roads - county, state or Forest Service.

I'm giving Chip time to respond to the route requests, so please have patience.

If anyone runs into a gate on the TET,you're more than likely off the TET, trespassing on private property, and subject to arrest.Beware.

Thanks for your labor sir! I'm patient and appreciate the scouting effort. I'm very excited about planning and doing this route as I have alot of family near carrabelle, any excuse to get down that way is a good one.

If you like this route, I have two other routes posted around here.

The Northern Route - currently posted from Anacortez WA to eastern Iowa, but shortly to be posted eastward to central PA.
    http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1032698

The Southern Route - posted from near San Diego CA to Silver City NM, of which I'm out scouting right now to extend eastward.
    http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1035083

So, shortly, you can do a lap around the US on dual sport routes. Trans Eastcoast Trail, Southern Route, Pacific Crest Quest, Northern Route.
