I have used those and they dont do well when subjected to weather seems like the internals are easily affected by moisture
Had more than one fail to retract and when that happens sometimes its a problem

Yep works great...if I was touring like in the past I'd get a taller one though...but those days are over.

Tewster, I remember earlier in the summer you said a CRF250L Rally would replace the DR. Then it appeared you were gravitating to a XT250. You ended where you started with the CRF250L Rally. I’m curious to learn how your selection evolved. Was it the short seat height of the XT that pushed you away? Some other factor? I’m considering both of those bikes too and would be interested in your thought process as I weigh my decision.

Howdy....I like both bikes...seat height is not a concern as I have a 34 inch inseam....ended up getting a super deal on a brand new 2017 rally model for $3,995 so that swayed me to the rally....plus I think the Rally is prettier :-)

I picked up my 08 Wing in Deltona. I had no service records. I guessed the servicing dealer was RC Hill in Deland. I gave them a call, gave them the POs name and they told me everything I needed to know. No problems.

I told the service guy the the famous Tewster had good things to say about them!

Short drive today to Eddyturn's casa in Hesperus CO for a night of drinks, lies, and BBQ :thumb:thumb

I also cover the bike at night on the road, it just seems to not attract as much attention. Happy trails T2.
