Doesn’t leak at all. I’d like the cap opposite the exhaust if it ever did.

Long time DR 650 owner here been thinking about down sizing to a 250. Besides the torque is there anything else you miss about the DR when you ride the 250?

I've owned several 650's and all different brands but I will have to say that my 15 CRF 250L is the most fun to ride. That said it would also complicate long distance travel......Or maybe make it better.

That’s pretty decent for most off-road treks even out west. It keeps the bike well balanced and nimble to actually make the ride fun and exciting instead of just a ride that was an arduous task.

Hey Tewster, question for you or anyone that has been to 3 Step. Heading out west next week and will be touring around the southwest for 3 weeks. Was thinking about stopping at 3 Step for a night or two but will be riding an FJR. Is the dirt road in too rough for a larger street bike?

It’s a short ride and road is very passable for any bike or car.

Look forward to seeing you. The dtiveway is graded and smooth as a billiard table. Well packed and no soft spots at all. Heck even KTM riders can do it :hide

Be sure to call ahead and speak to Scott about accommodations as Sept is gonna be fun with lots of folks coming by.

Thanks for the info guys. Will definitely stop by, looks like a great place. Just need a place to pitch a tent so hopefully they can fit me in but will call ahead to reserve a spot and get on the list for dinner and breakfast. Looking forward to it.

Still have 4 beautiful AGM deep cycle batteries for sale. Retail $233 each...asking $75 each... I’m in southeast Utah.

Yes. Will be here through the end of next month. Then I’m headed to NC the first of October for a few weeks of riding before going to FL for the holidays.
