Tim, now that you’ve had your new Honda for a little while, how does it compare to your Yamaha WR250R? I’m thinking of buying a 250 Dual Sport.

    Let’s get together when you’re in N.C.

I would be interested in Tim’s observations on this topic as well.

Both are great. The wr seems to have a bit more power and better suspension. The Rally has, for me, a better seating position and beautiful attention to detail as far as fit and finish. The motor on the Rally is the smoothest single I’ve ever ridden. Below 6k rpms it’s hard to tell the thing is running. A TINY bit of vibration in the bars from 6 to 6500 then smooth as glass at 65 to 70 mph. I’m totally pleased with the Rally. Love getting back to a 250. The Rally weighs about 40 pounds more than the wr but I can’t feel the difference.

Drove over to Silverton CO for a few days. No bike or buggy....just me and the van. Walking around town relaxing and looking at folks.

Morning coffee and blueberry muffin at the Brown Bear.

Living the life. You are an inspiration.
Like you I just downsized a bit, but unlike you, I kept my NC700 and purchased a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Feels like a feather. We'll see what stays and what goes.

Moved to a spot by the train tracks so I can watch the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge RR steam train come and go...pretty cool.

Arrives each day at 1145...departs around 1400.

Pretty cool, my wife and I rode the narrow gauge to Silverton and took the bus back down. The driver was very informative and we had a great time.

my wife and I went out west a couple of years ago, the only definites in the trip were those two railroads. We enjoyed them both. A lot of where we drove I learned about through Tim's videos. Thanks dude!

Now that you have had the van awhile, maybe you can enlighten us on things you like and don't like about your build. Things you use and don't use or things you would do differently.

Also, I was wondering if you bought a van that was already set up or if you set it up? if so can you give us a tour inside?
