The planning is done and I'm starting to pack.

This summer will be a combination of driving and riding. I'll be traveling in my new van with the Mighty DR in a small enclosed trailer. I'll be stopping now and then to unload the DR so I can explore.

    Here's my tentative plans:

Leaving around April 20....head to the American Southwest....around the first of June head north to Dawson City for the D2D gathering on the Solstice...after that up to Deadhorse again...then across Canada to Nova Scotia and surrounding Provinces....then who knows....

Pearl is ready to go...out for a nice ride after servicing to make sure all is well. Still have the chain and rear sprocket on from last year's ride...replaced the front as it had a tiny bit of wear....there are no tight links in the chain...appears like new after 15k miles....guess my chain maintenance is working out well....that's good because I'm cheap :-)

The Wolfman Rocky Mountain saddle bags are still perfect after 4 years of use.

It has, but after each long ride I have the time to put it on the lift, tear it down, and give her a good looking over and a scrub.

Some folks think a dirty bike proves a rider is a real "adventure rider"...I like things I've spent good hard earned money on to be well taken care of...that also means keeping them clean...I've never understood how a person can spend $25,000 on a new KTM or BMW then take them out and beat the shit out of them...but that's just me :-)

I haven’t run away from home to join the circus yet, but I’m enjoying my seat in the stands! Have a great trip and hope to see you when you get to the northeast.
