I’m really surprised there isn’t one already. I have my fingers crossed for all the 2019 690 updates plus a rally fairing! Who has some real insight?

Sit down, you'll get tired standing and your fingers will cramp.
    690 updates? Maybe
    Rally fairing? Unlikely

They won’t. The owners with love for fairy's errr.. fairings (:p) are very talkative about them, the large majority is riding these without and are perfectly happy with that. These bikes are not highway cruisers and are better at the slower stuff without a leap of plastic in front of you.

What are the major differences from the 19 husq to the 19 KTM? I think its likelye they will share the same major components next year (frame, engine, tank/subframe). The rest could be the setting white apart? The big questions IMHO is with or without the electronic goody's..

    Hi fellow Dutchman @StevenD :).

Also based in Amsterdam I see. Nice.

Difference 19 Husqy and 19 KTM are:

    - Suspension: WP XPLOR suspension on KTM vs 4CS of Husky (big update, owners seem relatively happy with XPLOR)
    - Suspension: 250MM for KTM versus 275MM Husky
    - Little bit more fuel capacity for KTM in 2019
    - Lot's of electronic gizmo's (quickshifter, lean angle ABS, riding modes)

Hope they won't change the plastics because of aftermarket accessories.

German based retailer is advertising the 2020 701 as having lean angle ABS, so the other elctronic goodies might be part of that package?

Yes, but what will Husky get in addition to this? Up until MY19, the Husky was much better equipped. I’d actually rather have a wide ratio transmission than a rally fairing. So that’s my new prediction.

They haven't been too keen on that wide ratio transmission for the 690 since the start.

I'd rather expect the Husky to retain the 275mm suspension travel and perhaps not get some of the electronic goodies, making it more off road focussed. I expect very small changes sadly.

The 2019 Husky also has Xplor (with 275 mm travel).

The only thing Husky had was the new motor and more suspension travel.
The 2019 KTM is what I expected the Husky 2017 to be.
I never understood why they ONLY took the engine from the Duke, without the electronics (at that time, Duke 690 already had corner ABS, traction control etc). Having a half sized, fully featured KTM 1190 made sense in 2017, as it does in 2019.
I wouldn't mind the Duke LCD dash as well, instead of the crap they put on the new model.
