Here's one from our uncompleted MABDR trip earlier this year.

    Bud is the closest.

Another one from the MABDR ride, just before we brought my tent under the pavilion..........:D

This trip will be more camping, less motel than earlier. I suspect it will be difficult to post up much with any regulariity.

I finished up everything on the KLR today. Installed front and rear tires (shinko 705's ), water jug with drinking tube, gonna be hot. Dialed in the suspension for the extra weight. Took a test ride with everything on the bike. KLR 002.JPG Gonna carry a small bag on rear pillon seat with tent, sleeping bag and tent poles . KLR 005.JPG

Believe me, you don't have to have a clean bike to get a good cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Opa found this big white elephant last year north of Montrose Co. I thought he was gonna trade his GS for it but the man that owned the Caddy said his Bike wasn't worth a lot cause of the high mileage and Opa had not kept any of his starbuck receipts. phone pictures 398.jpg

In for the adventure, talk about being packed heavy. Oh boy, tires are aired up and ready for the great adventure. Leaving my home Sat heading to Belpre, Ohio at my sons for the night and leaving Sunday am headed for a meet up with Augiedog and Opa in Kentucky at a campground as we ready to head North West to Alaska.
