Actually, some bastard had put a nail sticking up from one of the planks on the ramp, which I duly removed.

This poor fella turned up and wanted to play ball. He was really scary looking with his face all pushed out of shape - I thought he might have been chasing parked cars - but he had a lovely friendly nature.
Turned out he had only wandered from the next street and his mum was very pleased to get him back.
