Just in the process of replacing my Tractionator GPS rear with another one the same. 22800 kms on the old one. Reckon I could of got another 3000 easily enough but I'm setting off on a longish ride soon so erring on the side of caution.
Incidentally, the front also has the same mileage but looks good for another 10000 minimum!

Headed down into Custer State Park today. Best ride in quite a while. Really enjoyed today. The AT gets a lot of credit for this 150 mile adventure.
A fun excursion of of Custer State Park Road 3 is this little climb to the top of a hill with 360 viewing of the terrain.
The steps were fun. A split second to identify and follow a line. The forks absorbed it all and stayed on track! I love soft suspension.
Looking back at it all. This made my day!
The buffalo experience is cool too, but only a story to be told. Imagine a full size buffalo trotting by you about two feet away while stopped on the road watching to see what other buffalo are going to do. People, cars, buffalo (300+). It was chaos!
I've had a close encounter with bison while riding before. Not a comfortable experience. They're substantially bigger than you and your bike and I had one that really didn't like us being there. He was starting to get aggressive as the rider in front of me passed by. I was back of the pack as I closed the last gate. Fortunately he didn't charge anyone.
I just have a 2017 manual but also have Heed bars. I wound up going w a Heed skidplate and it’s pretty decent
tossed on a set of 705s for a long mostly road trip. Quite a bit more quiet and smooth than the more dirt aggressive tires I’ve been running.

I have the same one and the deflectors in electric blue. It took over a month to get it IIRC.
Yes they can work even two up when dialed in and riding minimal safe speeds yet two up in pegs is fun
I have no idea how you do that, this is a rear GPS with 7,000km on it. It was brand new at the start of the trip maybe 60-70% gravel/sand/rock the rest sealed road, I had to run a grooving tool over it to get it home.
Damn! I had notably more tread on mine with 7000 miles on it when I totaled my '17. You running low pressures?
Not really its tubeless so I dont take it under about 24-26 psi with a load on it in the sandy bits, but typically run 36psi every where else. I run a rear seat gas tank of 8.5L and about 15kg fully loaded with tools /water/ gear etc
I've some extra weight on the back of mine too, maybe not quite that much, but I don't often set the pressure below 40psi.
You guys air down much for off-road forays? If so, how low do you typically go?
I never aired down the AT, it's too heavy of a bike to risk rim damage from underinflated tires.

I'm experimenting with mine since I haven't had it very long. I ran about 20/23 yesterday when I went out and it seemed to work well other than for the fine gravel on hard pack roads (which nothing has good traction on). Brett (in the video) may not be able to tell that much difference with the riding he does, but I can say from personal experience that it makes a huge difference in dirt bikes with full knobbies. If I run 25 or higher for street duty it's like riding on grease when I get into dirt roads with loose gravel or muddy trails; front and rear will slide all over. Air down to 15-20 and traction improves greatly. It is a balance though; too little and you risk rim damage, but too much you have a higher risk of dumping the whole bike because of traction loss (if you push the bike hard anyway).
Baby has her dirt shoes on! Going to Colorado shortly for about 5 days of out and back rides from the Hotchkiss area.
How is the riding in the Hotchkiss area, compared to the usual Alpine pass trails?
