Possibly - although if software is involved and inputs from various sources are outside usual parameters... DCT must mess with the throttle somehow surely - but I could be wrong. Be good to hear what Honda have to say about it should they diagnose it. Fingers crossed.
I seriously doubt there's any kind of servos on throttle or we'd have cruise control!! It's strictly man powered on throttle....
It's a plain cable controlled throttle. There is not a single electrical input to control the throttle.
Not a bad solution. I'd go for them.
What tire are those you are running?
and what does your dealer say ?
Anybody using tire sealant like Slime?
Or any experience using tire sealant at tube tire big bike like AT or F800?

Lower , wider , longer, foot pegs

I don't know If I would go too much lower. I have scraped the outside of my boots already. Wasn't even trying that hard. Wouldn't be too much further and I would have touched the std pegs to the black top. I was two up with the missus on the back though! Tidy effort all the same.
I embarrassingly have to admit, I already purchased Pivot Pegs for a bike I'm still months away from getting. So yeah, Pivot Pegs on an Africa Twin are a must! (Says the guy who haven't actually tried it)
getting replaced under warranty.Only worry is it is getting changed to exact same part and not a upgraded item so its sure too break again. know of a few that have this issue
When I had an F650GS Dakar I just carried can of fix-a-flat type sealant and a Motopump electric air pump. The two times I got a flat, I was able to use these items to temporarily repair the flat so I could ride home.
Thanks, Slime sealant is kind of a proactive product since it needs to be injected to tire before it gets flat.
So you may even don't recognize the sting while riding

Yeah, I have no experience with slime. But I think I'd rather just fix the flat after than have it in my tube all the time.
Slime doesn't fix tears in the tube and makes matching them difficult. It works on pin prick ,penetrating puncture though.
The DCT paddles possibly shorted or activated and downshifted a couple of gears.. dunno
Did 300km on the bike today.. loving it.. need to do something about the airflow though with my Shoei Hornet.. with my Shoei XR1100 its fine, but the Hornet gets hit right on the peak.. might buy an adjustable spoiler, most likely the Givi one, and see how that goes..
Love my Pivot pegs - first used them on my S10 and found I liked them so they were the 2nd farkle after I picked up the Africa.
re. to the DCT acccident
This was posted on the XRV forum , and i have to agree with the poster , the issue was not caused by the electronics , and it was not a " false neutral " .
OK , this is my take on this -
The faulty switch gear has nothing to do with what went wrong with this bike IMO , its a separate issue . I am sure that this was mechanical failure not electrical problem .
It is not a coincidence that the accident happened just after the bike was " serviced " , it worked fine for nearly 600 miles and then it malfunctioned .
IMO this is what happened , oil pressure drop .
You were in the first gear pulling away so the MECHANICAL throttle was open , engine under load , then the oil pressure dropped , this has caused the clutches to disengage , revs have quickly risen up , oil pressure returned clutches engaged again and this resulted in a wheelie , not the riders fault !
Possible reasons -
Incorrect oil level in the engine
Blocked oil filter , insufficient oil flow ( i would like to see both filters to confirm if they were both replaced !!!)
Faulty oil pump ? unlikely on a new bike .
Component that controls the amount of oil pressure ? again unlikely but possible .
Possibly incorrectly reassembled components by your mechanic .
In all cases i can see a human error involved so i would not trust whoever has worked on your bike , some of them are ...... .
