Changing The Game
The air is thinner in the travel enduro middle class. If the Munich want to play further forward, something must come at last. A F-900 GS for example.

'Nuda 900 style engine / light weight ~ bring it on or will the F9GS (F?GS) just end up as another overweight - underpowered heavy enduro....
Just thinking loud here but the F9GS will probably cover all of the 650/800/800 engine models?!?!
Or is it just another fake news story?
Oh well... I guess there's nothin' else for it then, but to strap on the old speculative bullshit reading goggles , don the flame retardant Bavarian gimp suit and wait for the customary beltings and whippings to start ...
At least 6 years ago, BMW had figured that they could take the F800GS motor out to 920/940cc with out losing reliability, and punch out 100hp.
I guess the success of the Honda AT has prompted them into action.
My source was a senior BMW executive who I met at a mates BBQ in southern Germany in late 2011
Don't believe me? Check out my dream bike, it has been up there since I bought my 2010 GS.
The big proviso is that they have to seriously upgrade the suspension.
With a lazy 179,000+kms on the bike and still pulling like the proverbial.
^^^ look's like the chief gimp's here already...
Thats funny -
Two "spy" photos -
One of it being pushed
The other of it being towed.....
different engine, chain on left pipie on right
Adjustable forks and lots of gizmos on bars from the fly by wire, also spoked tubelesss if your into that sort of thing
Choices for another bike ti replace my F8 in the future may be growing even more
not quite the Nuda engine, sounds like a new one with dif config
You can have them both in one shot if you like
Bolt on passenger pegs
So we could take the drawn out lets release sniptits of possible conceptual maybe one day theres a chance well build it if we feel like it, or we could go
Article says that, "It's created as a direct competitor to Honda’s Africa Twin, having about the same price and performance figures"
Latter might be true, but the price ... ?
Guess they're comparing it to the AT's DCT model, but even so
I had a laugh too.
I'll be very surprised if it isn't just another overweight porker with some enduro-style lipstick.
So they will have an F700, F800,F850and F900 now?
Youll be spoilt for choice, youll have to get that old crusty tri color propellor branded leather one piece out and start rubbung it in leather softener so you can squeeze into it
I misread this and assumed the big one on the right was the new 950 ...
But it's the small one on the left ...
That's got to be good news ...
I dont think its that much smaller, its also back on a slope compared to the F800GSA so thats adds some illusion. It does look to have some finer dimensions though including the narrower engine and seating position, and the fuel up front has lessened the ass width, dont know if thats good or bad. Anyway it may be a touch smaller but untill specs and test rides its all a mystery. At least it adds to future choices
New engine, wonder where the cat is
Bolt on passenger pegs
Smaller top tripple and adjustable forks
Chain on left from new motor configeration
Pipe on right
Looks like narrower ass and most lilely fuel up front
